On Monday when we were supposed to have the one of the best days of our lives we yet another "snag" in our adoption. Yes, we did have a referral but the baby referred to us is believed to be sick. When our agency rep called to make sure the baby was still healthy the orphanage reported back that thought she may have coronary heart disease. More than likely they believe this due to a health decline of some sort but I  was not told details.The lack of information is to protect us so we don't (A) put ourselves in the position of having to reject a 2nd referral and (B) to prevent us from getting too attached to child we may not get. If she does have a heart issue it is likely her file will be pulled back and we would be re-matched again. The orphanage is supposed to take her to have a heart ECHO to see what the issues are. We were expecting to hear something back no later than today but unfortunately they have not take her for the ECHO yet due to bad weather.

Please pray that this baby gets the medical attention that she needs right away whatever the issue is. Please pray for us, this has been a difficult journey and we're really struggling with getting so close to having our day only to have it blow up, not once but twice.
