Baby Shower...

Sunday my awesome friends Jeni, Lynn, Terri, and Cathi threw me a "kick ass" baby shower. It was amazing! There were Chinese laterns with cherry blossoms, lots of food, sangria, beautiful homemade desserts and the cutest mini cupcakes with panda faces. They even had everyone bring a a book, individually signed, that we will be reading to Emily when she comes home; she has a nice little library already!  We received an amazing amount of gifts. Emily will definitely be a little spoiled to say the least!

Thanks to all my family and friends that came to help welcome Emily home. We truly appreciate all the amazing things you gave her. We can't wait for each of you to meet her and see her in those adorable outfits ;o)

On Friday, July27th, my amazing Dad turned 70. With   diversionary tactics and good planning we were able to successfully surprise him with a party.

We've Been Cabled...

We received the copy of our cable from the NVC on 7/26. I promptly e-mailed it to CCAI and have already received a reply back stating that it has been sent to China. Next step Article 5 in about 2 weeks.

Our visa's should be back next Wednesday. For the moment we have no paper work to be doing. It feels odd not to be chasing some piece of paper!

I800 Approved...

Last week we received our receipt from the lockbox for our I800 application. Today, one week to the day after the receipt date, I called the NBC to check on our approval and was told that we were approved! Our officer also said that it would be put in the mail today. Woo hoo, we are one step closer to bringing Emily home.

Aren't These Cute...

Thank you Nicole R. for the gifts. I can't wait to see Emily in that little outfit, it's just adorable!

The Wait is Finally Over...

Introducing our daughter Emily!

Emily is 17 months old, approximately 17 pounds and 27".
Her birthday is January 2, 2011 and she is currently residing in the Fengcheng City SWI, Jiangxi Province, China. To say we are excited is an understatement, after almost 6 long years we have been blessed with this tiny little one who has already stolen our hearts.

God is so good and I'm so grateful for his blessings!

Happy 4th of July

Thank you to all of our soldiers, past and present, who have made this day possible. We are so thankful for your sacrifices.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!
